viktoribleu: yesterday i got my hair cut even shorter (though not shaved), and i can definitely sympathize with the weird looks you're getting from strangers. i'm starting to worry that it's going to get to me eventually and that i'll give in and grow my hair out again into a longer, more feminine pixie/bob, but i feel beautiful with short hair and i feel much more feminine now than i ever did with long hair. i'm hoping i can stay strong and do what makes me happy, not what's expected of me.

I totally understand where you’re coming from when you worry about giving in to growing it out. I did that when I first had my hair really short, and grew it to a bob, and I just felt horrible and not like myself. I was on a ski trip at the time and in the photos I look perfectly nice, but not like me.
So as soon as I got back, I got it all cut off again. When you get used to having the short hair, it gets easier and easier to keep it. :) And then you kind of get hooked on the feeling of having it so short. Right now I can’t stand the back of my neck having hair longer than a grade 2. :’)
Stay strong! The weird looks will pass, or you will stop caring, if this is really what you want. :)
